Small Problem
I have recently talked to Allyson Cubales and talk
to her more about PEP and found out that one of my problems in my problem
statement is not a problem at all. Their presence is well establish in
San Francisco. Cubales did talk to me about other problems they have about PEP
and how they don’t have any web presence at all as their last website has been “stolen”
their web domain has been taken over by another company.
Problem Purpose Statement Draft
Problem Statement: Pin@y Educational
Partnerships (PEP) in San Francisco is currently underfunded and has
miniscule exposure to the public.
Purpose Statement: The purpose of the study was to research and develop methods of
raising public awareness about PEP as well as to increase funding.

Meeting Allyson Tintiangco-Cubales
I didn’t receive a reply in email from
Allyson and therefore I decided to visit her in person. It was Thursday Sept.
12th and I went to her office to see if I could meet her to confirm what I
heard from my cousin. I was able to meet with her but didn’t have enough time
to get my whole idea across. However I made
an appointment with her to better explain my ideas and reason on what I will
offer. Even though I wasn’t able to get my point across she was very ecstatic
about any idea that would help out PEP. I hope that I could provide and help
her out with this upcoming project.
Finding my Problem and Purpose Statement
In looking for my Problem / Purpose
Statement my friend suggested me contact my cousin to see if there was a
problem for me to look at. My cousin
told me about PEP and how the organization is always underfunded and that they
could always use more donations. I asked
her if that is a known fact and is there any way of contacting them for me to
find out more. My cousin suggested
contacting Allyson Cubales at SFSU. I
wrote an email to Allyson in hopes to make an appointment with her the next day
and see if the problems I heard from my cousin are true.

About Me
Hello my name is Federico DeJesus and I am currently a
senior at San Francisco State University. My area of study is Visual
Communication or Graphic Design. My reason for going in to visual communication
was my motivation of seeing my brother’s work and how he showed me his works in
graphic design. Seeing his works and how
he is able to produce works that can be seen by everyone made me want to do the
same. Where I get my inspiration is when I look at modern abstract art, having
to observe the design give me ideas of how I should incorporate their style
with my design. Now I joined the Design and Industries Department to walk my
own path and improve my own skills to reach a similar goal as my brother. My
vision for my self after SFSU is to be able to work where I can design and to
be able to seen by everyone.
